Council on the Fylde No. 201
 
On Monday 9th April 2018 Council on the Fylde held its last meeting before recess. Council on the Fylde hold their meetings at the Masonic Hall in the quaint little town of Poulton le Fylde near Blackpool on the Northwest coast. Parking is available just a short walk from the Hall which is to be found on the towns market square. Council on the Fylde is a daytime Council and meet in the morning, as is usual at Council on the Fylde the Brethren are greeted with Morning coffee and biscuits.

At 11.00am the Council Director of Ceremonies Worshipful Brother Raymond Keith Lamb Past District Grand Junior Warden / District Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies called the Brethren to order and the Worshipful Master Brother Bryan Peter Snaith opened the council. The Worshipful Master welcomed to the council Right Worshipful Brother Graham Paul Snape District Grand Prefect a regular and welcome visitor to the council. Salutations were given, and The District Grand Prefect suitably responded. Right Worshipful Brother Douglas John Forster Past Grand Junior Warden, Council Senior Warden was also saluted.
The Worshipful Master quickly dispatched the domestic business of the council and adjourned the lodge of St. Lawrence the Martyr. Worshipful Brother William Ainsworth Immediate Past Master was invited to occupy the Master’s Chair for the next item of business to admit Brother Peter Green into a Council of Knights of Constantinople.

Brother Green was introduced and created a Knight of Constantinople by the Illustrious Potentate Ainsworth in an exemplary manner. The Lecture of the degree was delivered by Worshipful Brother Geoff Catterall Past Grand Junior Deacon / District Grand Secretary in his usual faultless manner. The labour of the council of the Knights of Constantinople being over Worship Brother Ainsworth invited the Worshipful Master to re-occupy his rightful place.
Next item on the agenda to elect a worshipful Master and Treasurer for the ensuing year. Rt. W. Bro. John Forster, there being no other nominees was declared Master Elect and in his absence Worshipful Brother Colin Moxey Past Grand Standard Bearer there being no other nominees was declared Treasurer. There being no propositions or another business the W.M. enquired if there were any communications from Grand or District Grand Councils. The District Grand Prefect gave greetings on behalf of the Grand and District Grand Officers present. The W.M. Closed the council.

The photo-shoot having been taken before the council opened allowed us to repair to the Bar / Dining Room for Liquid refreshment and a buffet lunch. The toasts and responses were as is usual in the Allied Degree kept short and soon we were on our homeward journeys, some of us to get ready for meetings in other orders in other towns.
